Autumn 2019 took me to an area where I’m not too comfortable in and that was into the world of TV. Many of you will have heard of the show last tango in Halifax and have seen the show. Well we (Abby) got picked to star in the show as Sarah Lancashire’s dog Ruth when the show returned to our screens in February 2020.
It was an amazing experience for us to go through and I was so proud of Abby for being so chilled and confident in such and unusual environment. It was lovely to see that the general life skills I train her means she can adapt to any environment I put her in and she has confidence in me that I will help keep her safe and I have trust in her that she is well adjusted to cope with all things I put her way.
It was an amazing sight to see that through our bond I had helped build her up to love her work and she was keen to please.
Working with all the team during Filming was an amazing experience and I never fully understood how much effort was needed to produce such a show.
Its an experience I fully enjoyed although I will admit the waiting around could be boring however it provided some great bonding and training time for me and Abby. AKA Ruth the dog.
